Grande Reserva 2005 by Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo was considered, by the GJE (Grand Jury Européen), the best Douro Wine of all 21 wines submitted to the event.

This excellent wine was launched to the market just 5 months ago and has also been awarded a prize for being the Portuguese Press's Wine of choice. The Douro, world heritage, also benefits from being recognized by such internationally known wine critics.

This wine was created by Francisco Montenegro and shows exceptional character from some traditional Douro varieties: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca. It ages in oak casks for 16 months then remains another 6 months bottled in the cellar. It is a unique wine moment not to be missed.
