Visits to the Region

Discover the Douro's historical and cultural heritage, based on the various suggestions that we have prepared for you, in full-day or half-day visits. Discover the historic city of Lamego and its monuments and museums, the Vale de Mendiz, Favaios and Alijó and the Bread and Wine Museum. Some small-scale wine producers have beautiful wineries. Moncorvo is an enchanting town with the best almonds in Portugal. It is located next to Foz Côa, which surprises us with its prehistoric rock art.

The emblazoned wine-growing village of Provesende always provides a warm morning welcome in the regional bakery, nearby the Miguel Torga museum, in Sabrosa. If you like classic cars, you can take the opportunity to enjoy the town of Vila Real and discover Mateus Palace, one of the region’s top sightseeing spots.

We have many suggestions for visiting the Region. You can see some here.
